We are welcoming the Year of The Pig with these Melt-in-the-Mouth German cookies. Look at those cute little piglets. Oink! Oink! Oink! Oink!
Ingredients:
125 gr butter
40 gr icing sugar
150 gr potato starch
100 gr top flour (extra-fine quality flour to give exceptionally smooth and fine texture)

Method:
Heat the oven to 150 degree celcius (conventional, NOT fan forced) and prepare a baking tray lined with a baking paper.
Beat the butter and icing sugar until pale.
Add in vanilla essence - and beat.
Fold in potato starch and top flour and mix them until forming a soft dough.
Separate a small portion of the dough and put a little bit of food colouring (red) to form a pink dough (needed for the noses and ears).
How to make the piglets:
Weigh 12 gram of the dough and roll it into a ball.
Put them in the baking tray.
Decorate them:
- make an oval dough for the nose and prick it with a skewer.
- make two small dough for the ears.
- put the black sesame seed for the eyes
Bake for about 18-20 minutes.
